Our cedar and hemlock railings are custom built from the same knotty logs we like to use for our rustic
beds and other indoor furniture. All of our wood is harvested from the area and none of it is allowed near a lathe!
You do get knots and irregularities that only nature puts in a tree. Most components will have a slight taper as well.
Railings are available in standard 6 to 8 foot lengths with generally a 38" tall top rail and uprights that are
40" tall. Spacing of spindles is less than 4" to meet building code requirements. However, a rail and post system
suitable for fencing is also available with either 2 or 3 rails.
We make these railings to order and prices depend on the particular job. Custom sizes and designs,
like the one seen at the bottom of these pages, are possible. Let us know what you have in mind.
