Welcome
to New York Cedar Works. We create fine rustic log and dimensional furniture,
railings and arbors and more from native eastern white cedar, red cedar, hemlock and pine.
Recent projects have
included dressers, log headboards, nightstands, log and dimensional outdoor arbors, as well as pine flooring and natural untreated
hemlock beams for docking material at a nearby lake. In our custom pieces we strive to preserve unique
features of the original trees, so you will find knots and worm tracings on the finished
products...some longer components will have the natural taper of the original
log or tree branch.
Our workshop is in the southeast corner of the Adirondacks. If you are in the area, you are welcome to come by the farm, see our latest projects and discuss your furniture ideas in person. Please keep in mind that during the summer season we may be at the farmers market or busy outdoors. It is best to call or email ahead of time so we can plan to make time for your visit. Let us know what you have in mind. We welcome your ideas.
